YEREVAN. – The flow of information presented by Yavar Jamalov, the Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan, was intended for the domestic audience.

Armenian military analyst Arkadi Grigoryan expressed such a view commenting—at the request of Armenian News-NEWS.am—on the aforesaid Azerbaijani minister’s recent statements in an interview with media outlets.

“At first glance, the volume of the numbers voiced by the Azerbaijani minister is impressive,” said Grigoryan. “However, in essence, all this information is nothing new.

“Most likely, by giving such a flow of sincerity to readers, the minister had an objective of ‘choking’ the reader, to make an impression with quantity, not quality.

“Probably, the minister’s objective was to show how well he works. And the target is the Azerbaijani authorities and society, correspondingly, since there was talk before that they are dissatisfied with him, that he did not justify hopes.”

And when asked about the attempts by Azerbaijan to create its own drone, the analyst noted that this topic is not new either.

“In fact, it’s no secret that Azerbaijan doesn’t produce drones by itself, but purchases [them] from Israel,” he explained. “They only assemble [them] in Azerbaijan.”
