President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke about the actions of Afrin during his meeting with the provincial leaders of the ruling Justice and Development Party.

The Turkish president insisted that they did not enter Afrin to occupy it, but to neutralize “the terrorists” there, after which they plan to continue to the Manbij and reach the border with Iraq.

Noting that they want to continue the Afrin operation together with the U.S, Erdogan said that it’s seven days they are in Afrin, but the U.S. is in Iraq for already 18 and Afghanistan for already 20 years.
