YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday received Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, who is in Armenia on an official visit.

President Sargsyan stressed that Armenia is happy to host delegations from friendly Georgia, and he stated that high-level Armenian-Georgian talks are held in a climate of mutual trust.

PM Kvirikashvili, in turn, noted that he is happy to be in neighbor and friendly Armenia. He recorded that 2017 was marked by high-level Armenian-Georgian visits which, in his conviction, attest to the sustainable development of Armenian-Georgian relations.

During their ensuing tête-à-tête, they conferred on the avenues for the development of Armenian-Georgian relations and the expansion of cooperation in a variety of domains.

Subsequently, the bilateral talks at the Armenian presidential office continued with a working lunch, with participation by the Georgian delegation, led by the PM.
