The information by Azerbaijani mass media that Lithuania has developed a special resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, placing emphasis on territorial integrity is untrue, Secretary of Republican Party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, the international community in the name of OSCE Minsk Group and various organizations, has repeatedly stated Karabakh conflict should be solved based on three principles, people’s right to self-determination, territorial integrity and non-use of force.  A principle of territorial integrity cannot be applied to resolve the conflict. This is another misinformation by Azeri mass media,” Sharmazanov stressed.

Azerbaijani media outlets reported that Speaker of Lithuanian Seimas Irena Degutiene stated Lithuania has developed a special resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. “Lithuania has drafted a special resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh which was signed by 50 members of our parliament. In the near future the document will be submitted for discussion in parliament and I hope it will be approved,” she said.
