Armenian Revolutionary Federation will take part in snap parliamentary elections.

The decision was taken on Monday at an extraordinary Supreme Assembly session of ARF.

The decision to participate in the elections was based on an analysis of the internal political situation, existing challenges and possible developments, taking into account the importance of political struggle in conditions of mutual respect on an ideological and program basis, while remaining committed to the national vector, the full protection both of Artsakh, and the rights of its citizens, as well as the struggle for the establishment of social and economic justice in the country, proceeding from the ARF value system.

According to the statement, the holding of extraordinary parliamentary elections in December of this year is “unacceptable” without full legislative reforms.

The party voices its concerns over the failure to ensure full guarantees for holding free, fair, transparent elections registered in the government’s action plan.

“Being an opposition, ARF will always come up with its principled positions, consistent and resolute steps, irrespective of election outcomes,” the statement added.
