On February 12, Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork Marash districts of Yerevan, chaired by judge Gagik Khandanyan made a decision on 2 months’ imprisonment of U.S. citizen Serop Der-Boghossian, head of Akhtala mining plant and owner of Metal Prince Corporation.

Serop Der-Boghossian has been transferred to an isolation cell of the Armenian National Security Service, photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Der-Boghossian was charged with sexual abuse (Article 140, Armenian criminal code). If he is proved guilty he will have to pay a penalty. He may be sentenced to corrective labor or 1-3 years in jail.
