A tragic traffic accident occurred Friday in downtown Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

At around 7։40am, a Kia Sorento hit a woman in her 60s who was jaywalking nearby Yerevan Vernissage.

According to shamshyan.com, the driver of this vehicle did not flee the scene, and he called the ambulance hotline and tried to help this woman until an ambulance arrived. 

Several people who had assembled at the scene informed that, subsequently, a Range Rover coming at high speed had run over this woman who was lying on the road, whereas the driver of the Kia Sorento had barely escaped from being hit by this Range Rover.

The Kia Sorento involved in this accident is registered at the Ministry of Defense, and therefore the Military Police are conducting the respective investigation.

The Police and the Investigative Department are searching for the said Range Rover and its driver.
