Armenia’s Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan received newly appointed U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia Lynne Tracy.

As reported the Ministry of Finance to NEWS.am, the minister congratulated the ambassador on assuming the office and highly appreciated the partnership between the two countries. Janjughazyan presented the priorities and reforms agenda prescribed by the Program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting, the parties touched upon fiscal rules, the changes in the tax system, the stabilization of the state debt, as well as manageability of macroeconomic risks through monetary and credit policy and tax and fiscal policy and the successful negotiations with the International Monetary Fund. In regard to the negotiations, the ambassador emphasized that they would help strengthen the confidence of the international financial community in Armenia.

The preconditions for the creation of a favorable environment for investors and businessmen in Armenia and the expansion of Armenia-U.S. cooperation in this direction were also discussed.
