To implement this legislative initiative, tax revenues in the amount of AMD 117 million should be abandoned, but for this, the state will have to spend two, or even three times more administrative resources, said MP from luring My Step bloc Babken Tunyan.

According to him, to assess the damage, the government will have to allocate people who will have to go to places, keep records, spend time and money on this.

He also noted that based on the logic of the proposed bill, they will have to pay compensation to those citizens whose property was damaged due to the same adverse climatic phenomena (frost, hail, drought).

“From the point of view of the economy, this bill and the measures proposed therein are more likely to cause significant harm to our state than give any benefit,” he said.

The bull has already been approved by the parliament in the first reading, but then the MPs from the My step bloc unexpectedly opposed the bill they approved.
