YEREVAN. – Armenia’s authorities, led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, this year will celebrate Independence Day anniversary in Gyumri on Saturday, September 21, Hraparak (Square) newspaper reported.

“He [Pashinyan] will head for the USA directly from Gyumri.

“And the [former ruling] RPA [Republican Party of Armenia] members, led by [third President and RPA chairman] Serzh Sargsyan, will celebrate Independence Day [anniversary] in Lori Province.

“In response to our question, RPA Vice-Chairman Armen Ashotyan said: ‘As a political force standing at the roots of independence, it is natural that the Republican [Party] will always participate in the celebrations and meaning of that day; this year, too, is no exception.

‘“The [respective RPA] program is still at the discussion phase, and the representatives of party organizations and the leadership will participate in the events; in total, several hundred people,’” Hraparak wrote.
