On December 17, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received president and CEO William Parker of the EastWest Institute, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The Catholicos addressed in particular the grave situation in the Middle East, the problems of Christian minorities, and expressed concern over the decline of Christian communities.
During the conversation they also spoke about the life of the religious minorities in Turkey, the steps of the Armenian Church in favor of the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, and a number of regional issues.
In this connection, Karekin II noted the importance of the efforts also by the international community for building a peaceful and prosperous life for mankind.
