“ТурСтат” tourism portal has ranked the tallest Christmas trees for New Year’s Eve 2020 in the capitals of CIS countries, and the 37-meter high (along with the peak) main Christmas tree in Armenia’s Yerevan is ranked second after Ashgabat (40 meters). Among the other tallest Christmas trees are the ones in Tashkent (36 meters), Baku (34 meters), Minsk (30 meters), Dushanbe (29 meters), Moscow (27 meters), Bishkek (27 meters), Astana (25 meters) and Kishnev (20 meters).

The 27-meter high Christmas tree in Russia is placed at Sobornaya Square near the Kremlin and is the only natural fir tree out of all the capitals of CIS countries.
