Pope Francis urged people to drop off smartphones and talk with family, Daily Mail reported.

"I ask myself if you, in your family, know how to communicate or are you like those kids at meal tables where everyone is chatting on their mobile phone... where there is silence like at a Mass but they don’t communicate," the Pope said.

This is not the first time that the Pope has criticized excessive gadget enthusiasm. Meanwhile, he is also active in social networks. His Twitter has over 17 million followers, while Instagram - over six million.  The Vatican has launched 'Click to Pray' rosary beads that connect to smartphones in a bid to attract younger, more digital-savvy generations to the Church.
