At least eight people have been killed, including six children, in a roadside blast in southern Afghanistan, AP reported.

According to a spokesperson for the local police, the victims were members of the same family. They left the southern region of the country in the direction of Greshk when their car exploded. Two more family members were injured.

No organization has claimed responsibility for the explosion yet. However, the Taliban and ISIS fighters are active in the province.
