YEREVAN. - The Heritage Party welcomes release of March 1 convicts but not an amnesty declared on the Republic Day, May 28, head of party’s parliamentary group Stepan Safaryan said in parliament.
He explained that humanism should be displayed on regular basis rather than on particular occasions.
“Humanism is to respect human rights, to conduct free and fair elections. As long as elections are rigged, there will always be political prisoners in the country. Moreover, Armenia itself has a status of political prisoner,” Safaryan said.
