Tête-à-tête meeting of the Armenian and Iranian FMs - Ara Aivazian and Mohammad Javad Zarif - commenced Wednesday.

According to the Armenian FM, Iran is an important country in the region.

"Armenia does not consider that the results of Azerbaijan's aggression and use of force against Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] can create a basis for lasting peace, or be viewed as an opportunity for regional cooperation," Aivazian said.

According to the Karabakh emergency service, these soldiers were reservists.

On Wednesday morning, police officers visited one of the mansions in Yerevan. Seeing the police officers, the man fired gunshots into the air, after which he kept his 3-year-old son with him and threatened to hurt him, if he was apprehended.

Ghazaryan negotiated with the armed man for nearly two hours, after which the man put the gun down and released the child. The wanted man was apprehended and charged. There are no victims. A preliminary investigation is underway.

Georgia and Azerbaijan are disputing the territorial affiliation of the David Gareja Monastery, and there have even been several respective incidents in the past.
