The authorities and the opposition need to express the commitment to refrain from making calls for aggression. This is what deputy of the opposition Bright Armenia Party Ani Samsonyan said in parliament today.

According to her, if people don’t follow rules at a rally, there will be incidents that may be dangerous for the public.

Samsonyan also recalled that there has been aggression against activists of the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party, including representative of the ARF-D Supreme Body Ishkhan Saghatelyan. She added that reporters have also been attacked.

“If these rallies turn into scaled clashes, this will be devastating for Armenia. This is why the authorities and the opposition must express the commitment to refrain from making calls for hatred and aggression,” Samsonyan added.
