After the murder that took place in Gyumri today, a man and woman were transferred to Gyumri Medical Center with bodily injuries (the man’s surgery is over, and the woman has been discharged), the press service of Gyumri Medical Center told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The patient was diagnosed with a cut-pierced bleeding wound in the left arm and vein injury. The patient underwent a surgery, received necessary medical aid, the doctor says the patient is in stable condition, has been moved to a hospital room and continues to receive inpatient treatment,” the press service reported.

Today at around 2:20 p.m. a 33-year-old male resident of Gyumri got into a dispute over personal matters with his neighbor, the latter’s cousin and wife during which, with the intent to illegally deprive two or more persons of life, stabbed them with a knife. The neighbor died on the spot after receiving injuries on the face, in the abdomen, on the neck and on the right hand, and the neighbor’s wife, who received an injury in the neck area, and the cousin, who had a bodily injury in his hand, were transferred to Gyumri Medical Center and were saved thanks to the doctors.

The Investigative Committee’s Shirak Regional Department has launched a criminal case under the elements of assassination attempt.

The 33-year-old man was apprehended and later detained.
