During a news conference, US President Joe Biden said he was certain that he might meet with Vladimir Putin in June.

The presses asked if the summit will take place during Biden’s Europe tour in early June, to which Biden said he’s certain it is possible, but didn’t mention a specific time or place.

Reporters also asked Biden if he believes that the presence of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine is some kind of ‘signal’ for the US, to which the head of state said the situation has no impact on his desire to meet with Putin. He also emphasized that Washington sees the reduction of the number of troops.

In mid-April, Biden offered Putin to meet in Europe to discuss issues in the summer. As reported Politico, the summit might take place in the Czech Republic, Iceland, Slovenia or Azerbaijan.
