On the territory of the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, there are clashes between the Israeli police and the Palestinians, RIA Novosti reports.

Immediately after the prayer, riots broke out on the Temple Mount, they started throwing stones at the police and disturbing public order, an Israeli police spokesman told the agency.

According to him, the security forces were ordered to enter the Temple Mount to restore order and to allow people who did not take part in the clashes to leave the territory of the mosque.

To disperse the riots, the police use noise grenades, and tear gas. The incident affected at least 15 Palestinians.
