On the second day of her visit to Syunik Province, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia, arrived in Meghri town, the delegation informed on Facebook.

At the southern state border of Armenia with Iran, the Ambassador met the representatives of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia to discuss next steps of the planned modernization of Meghri Border Crossing Point, funded by the EU in partnership with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Ambassador Wiktorin stressed the importance of this connectivity flagship project for EU & EBRD and the people of Armenia.

Both sides agreed to start construction works as soon as possible.
