Today, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the Armenian Prime Minister and Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, the press service of the Tajik President reported.

During the conversation, the two sides exchanged views on developments in the Republic of Kazakhstan and expressed support for the efforts of the leadership of the friendly country to restore peace and tranquility.

In this context, the sides discussed the implementation of the CSTO decision to send a joint CSTO peacekeeping contingent to Kazakhstan to assist in protecting law and order and ensuring stability, the statement said.
