Armenia is a very important partner, neighbor and friendly country for Georgia, Georgian Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri said.

His remarks came during the meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan on 2 February.

Pashinyan in his welcoming remarks said that he was glad for the new dynamic emerging in the relations between two nations, the press service of the Armenian government informed NEWS.am.

Nikol Pashinyan asked to convey his greetings and wishes of health to the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, who has been tested positive for COVID-19.

Vakhtang Gomelauri thanked for the reception, conveying to the Armenian PM the warm greetings of the Georgian PM.

Georgian Interior Minister expressed their readiness for further cooperation and added that they are always ready to support and to consider Armenian extensive experience.

Prime Minister Pashinyan highlighted the continuous strengthening of the effective cooperation between the law enforcement systems of the two countries.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on sectoral reforms in Armenia and Georgia, and shared information on the progress and results of the Patrol Service reform process. Both sides stressed the importance of experience exchange and permanent contacts in the spirit of Armenian-Georgian friendly relations.
