YEREVAN. – Arman Yeghoyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, and the NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General Vahan Naribekyan on Thursday discussed in Athens—and with chairman Konstantinos Gkioulekas of the Hellenic Parliament Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs—the situation in and around Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), as well as the current geopolitical unstable situation.

The Greek MP highlighted the issue of the cultural heritage preservation, condemned the fact of Armenian prisoners of war still being in Azerbaijan, and in that context, stressed the importance of a proper response by the international community, the NA informed.

The sides touched also upon the historical process of the Armenian-Greek warm relations, and expressed a conviction that the relations between the two fraternal peoples would further deepen.

The interlocutors talked also about the Armenian diaspora, and its role and potential.
