YEREVAN. – Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia,  Rustam Badasyan, was recently on a working visit to Georgia—and as part of the delegation led by Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan, the SRC informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

During this trip visit, Badasyan had meetings with the minister of finance of Georgia, Lasha Khutsishvili; as well as with the head of the Revenue Service of Georgia, Levan Kakava.

During the talk with the Georgian finance minister, electronic risk assessment systems were highlighted for the purpose of selecting taxpayers subject to inspection. Also, they reflected on the management of the budget process, the participation of people during it, as well as the tax and customs reforms.

And during the meeting with the head of the Revenue Service of Georgia, the chairman of the SRC of Armenia touched upon topics of mutual interest in cooperation. Also, the parties reflected—in particular—on the peculiarities of the risk management system being used in the framework of the inspection being implemented after the customs clearance of the goods.

In addition, Armenian and Georgian colleagues addressed the issues of regulating the queues of trucks transporting goods from Armenia in transit via Georgia, the possibility of urgent customs clearance of vehicles transporting perishable goods, as well as the introduction of round-the-clock operative communication between the heads of the border customs authorities of Armenia and Georgia.

Also, Rustam Badasyan and Levan Kakava signed—in Tbilisi—a protocol on the start of the project arising from the memorandum between the State Revenue Committee of Armenia and the Revenue Service of Georgia on the exchange of initial electronic data on the international transportation of vehicles and goods.
