YEREVAN. – Past daily of Armenia writes: The last NA [(National Assembly)] four-day [session] of this year will take place in the first ten days of December.

According to the parliamentary source of Past newspaper, however, the work of the session will not end with this, as the authorities plan to convene two—according to some reports, even three—more special sessions, in addition to the regular four-day one.

According to our information, such an abundance of specials is due to the fact that a number of drafts sent to the parliament by the government and considered "urgent" have already begun to be discussed in the [NA standing] committees before the January holidays, and in this way the authorities aim to discuss and stomp them “on the foot” at an accelerated pace.

By the way, it is not unimportant to mention that the agendas of almost all four-day [sessions] of the sitting, which started in September, were quite light, to put it mildly. They usually included approximately 15-20 drafts, which were being "discussed" with record intensity, often without discussion. Furthermore, some four-day [sessions] were lasting only a day and a half.

Let us add that, according to our sources, there will be a number of new loan agreements at the special [sessions] at the end of the year.
