Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on Wednesday received the newly appointed ambassador of France to Armenia, Olivier Decottignies, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Karekin II reflected on the warm relations and cooperation between Armenia and France, and stressed that the Armenian community of France also contributes to the deepening of Armenian-French friendly ties.
Also, the Catholicos of All Armenians touched upon the dire situation in Armenia's region, and expressed his gratitude to the French authorities for their assistance and collaboration in overcoming the challenges facing Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
In turn, the French diplomat confirmed that France will continue to provide multilateral support to Armenia in various domains and make efforts to provide humanitarian aid and security guarantees to Artsakh.
