Armenia was and remains our very important ally, partner, our close country, said Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

"Also, we [i.e. Russia] continue contacts with Azerbaijan; it is also a very important partner of ours. We continue our contacts with the Karabakh Armenians as well," added Peskov, commenting on the words by the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, who claimed that the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh were not fulfilling their obligations.
