Zhoghovurd daily of Armenia writes: In recent times, a new theory has been actively circulating in the political field that [PM] Nikol Pashinyan has thought of a new option for relieving this tension created after the final handover of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)]: to go for snap [parliamentary] elections.

Thus, Nikol Pashinyan has decided to resolve several issues at once. First, despite the existing great dissatisfactions, he will once again legitimize, prolong his power, as well as will bring the CC's [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party] satellite political forces, (…), which will not create unnecessary obstacles for him, to the parliament.

Nikol Pashinyan's intention to go to snap [parliamentary] elections is also confirmed by the fact that in recent times he frequently meets with the party's board, as well as the provincial members [of his party], in order, first, to check sentiments; apart from this, discuss the matter of going to snap [parliamentary] elections.

Moreover, before going to the snap elections, the CC has decided to strengthen its positions by getting rid of the opposition heads of communities, who may become an obstacle for them in the future.
