It is planned to allocate 24 billion 365 million drams from the state budget in 2025 for the maintenance of the office of the Prime Minister of Armenia. Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan announced this during Wednesday’s debates on the 2025 state budget draft at the joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia

According to Hovhannisyan, this amount is 632 million drams less than the respective funding for 2024.

"Twenty billion drams are planned to be allocated for current expenses, which is 4 percent less than the current year's indicator. At the same time, it is planned to allocate 4 billion 180 million drams for capital expenses, which is 6 percent more compared to 2024," added Hovhannisyan.

Also, it is planned to allocate 1 billion 658 million drams for the maintenance of the office of the President of Armenia, which is 6.4 percent less than in 2024. Current expenses will amount to 1 billion 617 million drams; this is 4.1 percent less than this year. And capital expenditures are 41 million drams, which is 51 percent less than the current year's figure.

It is planned to allocate 7 billion 72 million drams for the maintenance of the NA staff, which is 2.6 percent less than the amount for 2024.

"The current expenses will amount to 6 billion 815 million drams, and the capital expenses—257 million drams," explained the minister of finance.
