YEREVAN. – The US presidential election has created a quite contradictory emotional backdrop throughout the world, including in Armenia, according to Zhamanak newspaper.

“The US is the country where the election of the president will have an unavoidable significant impact on global security, economy, and politics, in any case. And Armenia is a country that is located in the region which is a crossroads for respective developments.

“[Donald] Trump’s election [as US President] can really bring forth quite a lengthy period of uncertainty, or at least such a risk, in the future; [and] Armenia should be ready for it.

“[And] the US Armenians should start the formulation and delivery of Armenia’s national interest and security problems to the Trump administration; and, surely, much depends on this very circumstance,” wrote Zhamanak.
