“It is not a big deal that this time OSCE Co-Chairs visit Baku only,” said Prosperous Armenia faction secretary Aram Safaryan today in RA NA.

“Baku has very tough stance on Karabakh issue talks and Co-chairs decided to talk offline with Azerbaijani authorities hoping to achieve a fair amount of success,” Safaryan stated, adding that earlier the mediators made at least three separate visits to Baku seeking to change Azerbaijan’s front.

Commenting on the information that in the course of their visit OSCE Co-Chairs intend to present updated version of Madrid Principles to Azerbaijani authorities, head of ARF Dashnaktsutyun Vahan Hovhannisyan underlined that expect nothing from the document neither previous version, nor the updated one.

“Madrid Principles were unacceptable for Armenian side from the very beginning, as implied major concessions for us unlike Azerbaijan. Frankly, I find it hard to say what should be expected of updated version of ‘bad’ principles,” Hovhannisyan noted.

NEWS.am recalls that OSCE MG co-chairs have already met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, however local media disclose no details on the matter.
