The first swine flu death case was registered in Georgia, December 12 Health Minister Alexander Kvitashvili said, Georgian mass media reports.

According to him, fatal case was registered in Batumi. Ramaz Bezhanidze, 27, consulted physicians too late and that caused his death, the Minister underlined.

To date, health state of five hospitalized is esteemed as grave.

As of December 12, 580 А/H1N1 virus infection cases are registered in Georgia, the National Center for Disease Control reports.
