Philip H. Gordon, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, issued statement, pointing out important issues on the agenda of U.S. relations with Turkey, reported the Bugun website.

Philip Gordon believes that repudiating the years of Turkey’s cooperation with the United States and NATO is the result of wrong impression. Gordon added that Turkey is assisting Afghanistan, carrying out special cooperation with the United States in that country. The U.S. is also cooperating with Turkey in the energy sector, Armenian-Turkish reconciliation and other issues, he said.
