Russian Foreign Ministry does not rule out the possibility of Georgia and Ukraine to be involved in illicit arms trade around in connection with the detention of IL-76 aircraft in Thailand with weapons on board, said Russian FM spokesman Andrei Nesterenko at Dec. 18 briefing, RBK agency reports.

“According to unofficial data, we can neither confirm nor refute whether it was a Georgian aircraft heading to Ukraine. I admit there are suspicions on these states being involved in illicit arms trade,” Nesterenko said, adding that such suspicions definitely arouse concern due to the “well-known reasons”.
