The economic sectors based on domestic demand, particularly the tourist and IT industries, not only remained unaffected by the economic crisis, but also registered growth, RA Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan told reporters. He pointed out the necessity for further economic diversification.

The main challenge to the Armenian economy next year is looking for means of diversifying economy, promoting exports and making the world markets available. The Minister said that the matter primarily concerns the negotiation with the EU for forming a free trade zone.
