The Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, on Wednesday received a delegation led by Norbert Lammert, President of the German Bundestag (Parliament). 

He expressed a delight in connection with the developing relations between Armenia and Germany, and stressed that such visits contribute to the broadening of bilateral cooperation. 

Also, Karekin II expressed his appreciation to the Bundestag for passing a resolution on the Armenian Genocide. In addition, he reflected on the support the German authorities provide to the country’s Armenian community. 

The interlocutors also discussed the country’s socioeconomic state, religious life, the role and mission of the Armenian Church, and the religious leaders’ talks toward establishing peace in the region.
