YEREVAN. – A wide range of matters of mutual interest were discussed during the talk between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Lithuania, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian stated Thursday, in capital city Yerevan, during his joint news conference with his Lithuanian counterpart, Linas Linkevičius.

Nalbandian noted that this is the sixth meeting between the FMs of both countries in the past three years. In his words, an agreement was reached on continuing the consultations and making the implementation of the already-reached agreements become more active, and they discussed cooperation within international organizations and deepening cultural ties. 

“I informed my Lithuanian colleague about the process of settling the Karabakh conflict, the [respective] outlook by Armenia and the [OSCE Minsk Group] Co-Chairs,” Armenia’s FM said.  

In his turn, Linkevičius noted that he is happy to be back in Armenia, since he had previously visited the country, but as Defense Minister.  

In his words, the military sector likewise was discussed during their talk, but the main objective of his visit to Armenia is European integration, since Lithuania will chair the EU in the latter half of the current year. 

The talks between the ministers will continue during the working lunch.
