YEREVAN.- President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received on Thursday the Lithuanian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius.

The sides discussed issues on Armenia-Lithuania bilateral contacts, as well as Lithuania’s experience of European integration, prospects for bilateral cooperation during Lithuania’s upcoming presidency of the Council of EU.

President Sargsyan spoke about qualitatively new level of Armenia-EU relations and the ongoing talks with the Union. The sides stressed importance of mutual cooperation within the Eastern Partnership project.

Serzh Sargsyan and Linas Linkevičius underscored importance of strengthening and developing cooperation in the areas of mutual interest, such as defense, science, education, culture, as well as collaboration within the framework of international agencies.
