YEREVAN. – The Armenian Embassy in Italy continues to resolve the matters in connection with the Armenian citizens that are sill detained at the international airport of Rome, Italy.  

Thanks to the mediation by the Ambassador of Armenia to Italy, the problems are solved of another citizen of Armenia, who was detained at the airport due to problems associated with travel documents, reads the statement that is posted on the Armenian MFA’s Facebook account.

As a result, solely twelve Armenian citizens are still detained.   

To note, a total of 59 citizens of Armenia were initially detained, at the international airport of Rome, and due to travel document-related problems.  

But owing to the assistance provided by Armenia’s Ambassador to Italy, most of these citizens are already permitted to continue their travel.
