Armenia’s Ambassador to Japan, Hrant Poghosyan, attended, in Vientiane, Laos, the regional meeting of developing landlocked countries.     

The objective of the event was to sum up the effectiveness of the implementation of the Almaty Action Plan in the landlocked Eurasian countries, to assess the challenges, and to develop avenues for progress. 

As a result of the meeting, the Vientiane Consensus was adopted, and this document will be introduced to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) session that will be convened from April 25 to May 1 in Bangkok, Thailand.
