U.S. will appoint a new OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair within a year, said Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Eric Rubin.

“This appointment is a priority for the Secretary of State Kerry. It is important to find a suitable candidate to replace the previous retired co-chair. Kerry will try to make an appointment during the first year of his tenure as Secretary of State,” APA agency quotes the official who is participating in the annual Congress of Turkic-American Union.

Ambassador Robert Bradtke completed his mission as OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair last December. Ambassador Ian Kelly was named as US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group on an interim basis.
