YEREVAN. – Armenia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Italy, Sargis Ghazaryan, on Tuesday presented a copy of his credentials to Ambassador Stefano Ronca, the Chief of the Diplomatic Protocol of Italy.
During the ensuing talk, the interlocutors reflected on Armenian-Italian relations and Armenia’s ties with Italy, and stressed the importance of expanding them, Armenian MFA press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Ghazaryan and Ronca also discussed the opportunities for interaction within international organizations and along the lines of Armenia-EU relations. In addition, they discussed regional developments.
At Ambassador Ronca’s request, Ambassador Ghazaryan presented the Armenian party’s position on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and emphasized that Armenia advocates a pacific resolution to the matter and that the country’s position is fully consistent with that of the international community.
