Ambassador Christian Ter-Stepanian, who is Armenian FM advisor on La Francophonie affairs, met with Philippe Kaldenbach, Chairman of the French Senate’s France-Armenia Friendship Group, in the Senate on March 14.
Ter-Stepanian briefed the French senator on Armenia’s steps which it takes ever since October 2012—that is, when Armenia became a full member in the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF)—toward the encouragement and development of a French-speaking environment and of the French language.
He also stressed that Armenia occupies, in 2013 as well, a primary place among the La Francophonie countries, with respect to the La Francophonie month events that are held.
Saluting Armenia’s policy of developing La Francophonie, Kaldenbach, and the other senators that are members in the aforesaid group, expressed their willingness to assist Armenia in this respect.
