YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador to Canada, Armen Yeganyan, on Monday met with Chairman Dean Allison of the Liaison Committee, and Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development of the Canadian House of Commons.  

The interlocutors discussed bilateral parliamentary relations, and reflected on the economic ties between Armenia and Canada, the Armenian MFA press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. In this context, Ambassador Yeganyan underscored the volume of Canadian investments in Armenia’s economy, and stated that there are great prospects for developing trade and economic ties between the two countries.

Yeganyan and Allison also examined regional security issues and, in this respect, Armenia’s ambassador presented details on the efforts by Armenia and the international community toward pacifically settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. 

At the end of the talk, Ambassador Armen Yeganyan extended his thanks for Canada’s official recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
