YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador to U.S. Tatul Margaryan met on Tuesday with newly appointed chairman of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, Ed Royce.

Ambassador thanked Congressmen Royce for his efforts into recognition of the Armenian Genocide and ensuring political and economic assistance to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, foreign ministry's press service reported.

They exchanged thoughts on Armenia’s foreign policy, the Karabakh peace process and regional security.

Congressmen assured he would preserve his principal position on Armenia and the issues Armenian people are interested in.
