YEREVAN. – Armenia’s National Assembly (NA) Speaker, Hovik Abrahamyan, on Thursday received India’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Suresh Babu. 

Abrahamyan expressed a conviction that relations between the two countries will strengthen further and new accomplishments will be achieved during the new ambassador’s term in office, NA press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

The NA leader also stressed the need to develop interparliamentary ties between Armenia and India, and expressed a readiness to assist in developing bilateral interaction.   

In his turn, Ambassador Babu noted that he will make an effort to expand Armenian-Indian relations.  

The interlocutors highlighted the need to deepen interparliamentary ties, and the cooperation within international organizations.  

The Indian ambassador also considered it indispensable to enhance trade and economic ties.
