The Anglican Church in Wales recognized the massacring of at least one million Armenians during and after the First World War as the first genocide of the 20th century and, in so doing, it became the first member of the Anglican Communion to take such step, Nouvelles d’Arménie monthly of France reports, referring to The Western Mail newspaper of Wales.

As a result, and starting from next month, April 24 will be included in the official calendar of the Church in Wales as Armenian Genocide Day.
