Armenia’s Ambassador to Lithuania Ara Ayvazyan met on Wednesday with Lithuania’s Justice Minister Juozas Bernatonis.

Noting active development of bilateral relations, the sides underscored importance of cooperation in the field of justice. Ambassador Ayvazyan offered to organize mutual visits in 2014 and establish cooperation in the legal field, foreign ministry’s press service reported.

They discussed issues related to Lithuania’s presidency in the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2013. Minister Bernatonis said that Luxemburg will host a meeting of the ministers of justice and internal affairs of the EU member states and Eastern Partnership countries during his country’s presidency. The Minister expressed hope that he will meet with his Armenian colleagues during the event.
