YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Wednesday received Victor Tvirkun, the new Secretary General of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).

Nalbandian congratulated Tvirkun for being elected the BSEC head, and expressed a hope that the new Secretary General will contribute to raising the effectiveness of this organization, MFA press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Nalbandian also noted that Armenia underscores regional integration and takes part in the ongoing cooperation within the framework of BSEC.  

In his turn, Tvirkun assured that he will do his utmost to develop cooperation along the lines of BSEC. 

Edward Nalbandian and Victor Tvirkun reflected on the priorities of Armenia’s BSEC chairmanship, which the country will assume in the latter half of the current year.    

The interlocutors also discussed the steps that will be taken to deepen the ongoing cooperation within the framework of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, and to promote regional economic collaboration.
